I played with my Pops band (Harmony Breeze) at this last bluegrass festival in Pinetop, AZ! I had a blast! We did 3 sets... This was the first one. Then one thing that was cool is the headliner band asked me to come up and whip the Mandolin with them! I thought that was pretty cool!

Tonight I was scrolling down your blog and came across the picture of my niece's grave and it hit me harder then I ever thought it could have. I started crying and I couldn't stop. It made me realize how much I miss you and just how much I wish you guys were here. Charity is sitting on Jesus's lap saying "look Jesus that's my mom and dad! Aren't they the best?". Oh how blessed that baby is. To have parents like you guys. I love you! And I want the whole world to see that. World... My big sister is the best one in the world. Heya!!! So GREAT week!!!!!!! As most of you may know, the Hortons flew in and visited us folks here out west!!! They flew in Thursday night and were headed down to Tucson. But they stopped to get a bite to eat and WHAM!!!! It was a surprise for the girls! They were surprised..... At least I hope..... If not then I'm really bad at that kind of thing. But yeah they went down after that, I didn't want them to..... I like to be selfish when they visit... It was sad seein them go, but good knowin that they would be at our house Monday! WooHoo Doggy!!! I worked long days Friday and Saturday so that was a good time passer byer! Then Saturday afternoon the girls talked this really cool guy into bringin them up to hang! They drove 2 hours to come hang.... I feel special! Monday Scott and Angie brought them up and at first we just sat around, laughed, Megan showed everyone her pooping dog, laughed some more, sat.... Then the guys came back from golfing. Then we went to eat!!! I happen to like eatin!!! Haha!!! We stayed at the restaurant for a while then Scott and Angie.. And Sean! Can't forget him! He's the cool guy that brought them up! But yeah they went back to Tucson.... AFTER we did "My little buttercup".... Phil... You and I have GOTTA think of something else to do... So they came back to our house and us younginz walked down to a little park close to the house while the big people talked... BORING!!! Actually not cause we just walked down to the park and just talked... But still had fun! After the folks went to bed we all stayed up and watched a movie!!! Stayed up till like 3:30. The good boys, Jake, Phil, and Tom, went to bed right after... The bad Girls, Heather, Sara, Megan stayed up far past 4.... Katlin wasn't bad. She went to sleep. Atta way Kate!!! TUESDAY!!!! A very memorable day!!! Tuesday morning was great!!! After everyone was up we had devotions and then Tommy and Megan pulled out old games like galaga (or however you spell it) and that kind of thing. We talked some more. OH!!!!! I gotta give myself props!! I said a pretty good line!!! I was on the couch and Sister Cathy was sittin right by me, and Heather was sittin on her lap. Well I look over at Sister Cathy and she's like wow your pupils are huge, and I said, I'm soakin it ALL in!!!! BooYa!!!!! I was on a role this week! Woop Woop Woop!!!! Haha!!! Dad said I was too bold!! I was like you raised me! I get it from him! Hehe!! We went to play putt putt in the early afternoon and it was a blast! At least i thought so!!! It was kinda hot outside so mom was like joking around with the lady at the desk sayin "you don't mind if we swim in the fountains do you?" haha! So we played, and I stink at putt putt... But this was the best game of putt putt I have ever played!!! I got like 5 holes in one! Haha!!! We were in 3 groups and the first 2 were done, the last still had a few more holes, but it was hot and I jokingly said "dare me to jump in the water?" They all said yeah. I probably wouldn't've done if I didn't hear Phil say, "He won't do it"... They were shocked... Then everyone else decided to jump in! After we went home we went to Taco Time!!! Love that place!!!! Ate there walked around, then walked over to Bass Pro Shops! I just so happen to love that place too!!!! We hunted each other for a while, goofed off.... Then..... *ring ring*.... Who is it?... Destiny?!?!?!...... Whoops!!! Wrong line! Hehe!!! Mom called and said we had to take them to the airport.... SAD DAY!!!!!! At first mom followed the plan quite well. She went the wrong way! Sister Cathy was like Jacob stop praying!!! Haha!!! I told mom she didn't get the 50 dollar bonus she asked for!!! We almost did it mom!!! Haha!!! But yeah. I didn't cry... I normally don't cry... But it was sad to see them go! Can't wait till the next time I see them!

Hello people,

Hehe so Paul and Grace came on Thanksgiving Day. That was pretty cool!! I got to see them! We went right from the airport to my Aunt Marcy’s! That’s where we had our big ol’ shenanigan! I WAS STARVIN!!!!! So I ate…. And ate…. Did I mention that I ate?!?!?!?! Well I did! SO GROOD!!!! I mean good…. And great! Teehee!!! Then we decided to be “wise men” and run around and play catch in the street RIGHT after we ate!!! NOT WISE!!! Although I knew that when I was walking out the door! I said to myself, Jacob you’re really gonna regret this! But hey, who ever listens to their conscience???? I don’t. Then we got home and, lucky me, the girls are sleeping in my room!! OH JOY!!! They wouldn’t shut up! But I eventually got to sleep, and then I had to get up and go to work.

So yeah, black Friday. Thankfully it wasn’t as busy as it was last year. But drive thru was steady ALL day! Friday night we went over to my grandma’s house for another thanksgiving dealio. I ate again!!!!!! Haha!!! I like to eat. But I’ve lost so much weight! Then I think we just hung out that night after we got home.

SATURDAY... In the park, I think it was the 4th of July!! Ehem!!! Saturday was my favoritest day!!! We played tackle football!!! That was SO fun!!! I know I played HARD!!! It was definitely a DAY to remember!! But then the night came! That night was a night to remember!!! It was Paul, Phil, my buddy Josh from work, and me!! We went to the vans store! I love that store! Paul, Josh, and I got these sweet shades!!! Phil didn’t at first, but he went back and got some! (I’ll let Philip finish that story) But it was just a GUYS night!!! So fun! Sunday came way too soon!!!

Well...I haven't posted in awhile. Hehe I normally don't post very often.

My big sister left for Montana. Well now I know that, IF I get married...I'm not having any girls!!! You know I don't normally cry......I'll stop there.

But enough about that. Let's talk about...something else I guess. I rearranged my room about a week ago. Now I have kind of a hard time sleeping cause I'll just wake up outta nowhere not remembering where I am. But I guess it has nothing to do with that cause I do that all the time.

I got some new picks!!! That's exciting...to me anyways. I came home from the park one day and I couldn't find the one pick that I use all the time! I was so frustrated!!!! So after I tore the house apart I sat down at the computer, got online, and ordered some new picks. After that I went into my room, sat on my bed (to look at a musicians friend magazine), then looked on my night stand only to find my pick sitting right there. UGH!!!!!! Oh well. I got some new picks. And now I use the new ones more than any others. They're pretty cool. They're called wegan, made in the Netherlands, and really really cool!!!! They sound good too. It's pretty amazing how just the pick changes the sound completely!!! I also got some dunlop picks as well. I like those ones too. Just not as much as the wegan....s.

So-o-o-o-o-o-o....Philip is kicking me off so I will get on sometime....don't know when. So see you all later!!!

Hey everyone!!

I haven't posted in a while cause.....well just because. But yeah. Right now I am at the Library. I just got off of work and I came here with mom to pick up the kids. The rest of them were here hanging out because.....well just because. So I'm still in my nasty uniform sitting in the middle of the library. I juiced a whole BUNCH of lemons today so I have a bunch of lemon pulp all over me. So I smell like chicken, look like a chicken....Hmmm I must be a chicken....WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!?!?!?!?!

Good grief...you know I never got that saying. Now tell me, what good comes from grief??? Hmmm???? No good comes from grief. But it's kind of funny cause I always say that. Something really is wrong with me.

I like how this blogger thingy saves your post automatically. I stop for like 2 seconds and it saves it. I don't know how many times I've just got off thinking that I either posted or saved it and then it's not there. I guess I'm off my nut.

Weyell, I am going to get off of here, go home, and get into some real clothes.....okay that didn't make any sense at all. I'm going to get into some normal clothes.....but why be normal??? I haven't posted in a while cause....well I don't know why. I guess I've been lazy. Sorry.

So yeah. Right now I'm at Paul and Grace's house. Last night I stayed at my aunt Marcy's house, and we went to cabela's!! That was fun. Today I went to a thai restaurant with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. The only thing is that I don't like thai food. But it was pretty fun. Tonight we are gonna go to chick-fil-a. You think I'd be tired of chicken by now. Actually it comes in waves. Sometimes I get tired of it. It's kinda funny, I was CRAVING it when we were at camp. I didn't have any chicken that week.

Isn't this the coolest thing ever?? The "Wienermobile" came to Grace's work place today. So we couldn't help but go! It was really fun.

This morning Mom comes in and says "Come on, you guys are going with me". So Philip and I throw on some clothes, and run out the door. So we look like we just got out of bed. We did.
That old couple in the shot was so funny to watch. They were just as excited as we were.

Hey everybody,

How’s everybody doing? I’m doing quite well myself. Last Sunday, after church, the Clarkson’s came over, and we all had dinner. The Clarkson’s are so much fun to have around. Their kids are a blast! I tried to teach Sadie how to play go fish, but that ended up as, she would give me cards, and then take them away.

Monday, I went to work, which is going great, and then after I got home, I got ready to go to Grandma’s house. Tom was there, and we all had dinner. Dad didn’t get there until later ‘cause he had to work. But after dad got there, we watched the Eichenberger family. It was a bunch of films from the 1920’s. It was really cool. After we got home we all got ready for bed. I think Tommy was mad at me that night because I wouldn’t stop playing my guitar. Oh well. I guess I’ll play it more in the day time. I don’t know why but whenever I get my guitar out, in a slow area of the day, all of my sisters, and Tommy, go “AWWW” in anger. I don’t know why, but they do.

Tuesday, I got up and went to work again, which is going GREAT by the way. Just the other day at work, the boss comes up to me, smacks me on the shoulder, and says “You’re awesome”. That’s pretty Rad, huh? But anyways, on Tuesday, well we didn’t do much on Tuesday. Huh. I can’t remember what I did. Well on Saturday, at work, my friend got to be the Chick-fil-a cow. How cool is that!! It was my friend Caleb. He is such a crack up. He was the right guy for the job.

Well now we’re here. Wednesday. Not much has happened so far. Grace had to get up at like 3:30 this morning. She’s knocked out on the bed next to me. And now I’m posting. Speaking of post, I’m about done. This was an okay one right? Okay, see y’all later.

Yes, yes I know I haven’t posted in a while. But…I have no excuse. I’m just a slacker. As you guys know I have been kind of busy with the job and everything. Speaking of the job, I have perfect attendance. I haven’t missed a day.

I just got done taking my IQ test and I have an IQ of 116. That’s in the above average category. Sweet!

You know, just about every day I have had the urge to play my guitar, which is not a bad thing. I play for a while, then there’s about an hour gap, then I play again. I’m hoping that we make another CD soon.

Hey everybody,

Yesterday at work they put me on the drive through window. I was a little bit nervous at first but then I started to get the hang of it. It was pretty fun. I made some mistakes as any starter would do, but It was all good. Actually my favorite position is front counter. I hope I do that today.
But anyways, the day was going by normally. The next order that I was going to hand out was an Ice cream cone. Normally I look out the window to see what's coming next, but I didn't do that this time. As I read out the order, I turned and.....AW!!! There it was! A beautiful Ford GT! Man I really wish I would've had a camera/camera phone or something!! I gave the man his Ice cream cone, told him I digged/dug (I don't know) his car, and then he drove off. Well I would have to say that was the highlight of my day.

The new job is going really good. I have made a lot of new friends. One of my favorite things is I get to be with people. Just yesterday a couple of old dudes came in and talked to me as if they have known me since I was knee high to a grass hopper. It was great. One of the guys I work with is Caleb. He's my age, and he is a hand full. He is so funny. Before grace got the job at Tully's, we were talking with Caleb, and he would just stop in mid sentence and talk about something else. We were talking about grace previous job, and he said,"so you use to..I just found a great place you could work at!!!". He's a blast to hang out with.

Right now I'm at the Library with Grace. It's taking a while to write this because this keyboard is really stiff. With our keyboard at home you just lightly touch the keys and voila!

I wanna say "Congratulations!!!" to Grace Shuler, and Katlin Horton for getting jobs. I hope they each have a blast working.

After we got home from Washington, I started working on a super long post. I looked at it one day and just what I've written about the journey there is longer than any post I've written myself. Well the reason I haven't posted it yet was because, well, I have forgotten a lot. I'll do my best to remember it and post it later.

So I am going to get down to the reason I am posting today.

Hey everybody I got a job! I start today. I meant to tell you guys yesterday, but I had to fill out an A-4, and an W-4. But yeah, I'm working at Chick-Fil-A.

This post has no theme to it. I just found some pictures that I liked, and put them on.

Alright, this one is when we went to Castles n’ Coasters for Sara’s birthday. We had a blast. It was so fun watching all the younger kids ride the rides for the first time.

Philip, Daniel, Aaron, Sam, Tommy, and I were just being dorks at the end of Camp. We walked in a big circle around Camp.

And here we have Dustin Hays. There was a tree outside of the motel at Convention, and the kid in Dustin couldn’t keep off.

Ah! Here we have Philip, Paul, and I on the Sky Diver. This also was on Sara’s birthday. We were the only ones to ride it. We couldn’t get the others on for some reason. ; P

Well Today is Sunday, and I have to get ready for church. Everybody have a good day.

Camp.

I’m going to attempt to give you my recap of camp.

Now for a while we thought that there wasn’t going to be camp. But the Lord answers prayers.

So the night before camp, Sara, Megan, and I were at VBS. Daniel and Anita came over that night and I put all the big suitcases in the van. We all said our goodbye’s to aunt Marcy, and Uncle Randy, then went to bed at about 11:30.

The next morning we get up at about 3:30, get ready, took a few dummy walks, threw our bathroom bags in the van, said goodbye to Dad and Paul, then we hit the road at about 5:30. About 15 minutes after we left I turned on my favorite radio station. It was the oldies!! I love ‘em! I was so happy. We got to listen to that station until about 7:00 am, so I was thankful. At 1:30 we got to Albuquerque, and picked up the stuff at Sysco. After that, we headed towards Mountain air. We got there at about 4:00 pm. As soon as we got there, we started working to clean up the cabins.

The next morning we did some last minute cleaning, and then the people started to arrive. Now all the days are a big blur. I have no idea when this and that happened.
Brother Dustin was the guy’s teen class teacher, and he probably won’t like me saying this, but we had a blast!!! For our craft class, we had some of the most masculine crafts ever!!! You can’t get more masculine than a fire starter, and duck tape wallets!!!
Sister Marcia was the girl’s teen class teacher. Now I’m not going to give you my opinion on that class!

Stephen and Daniel Wantulok were the fun time coordinators. One day we played volley ball while people would shoot us with water guns, we played Family feud, and had a contest to see who could get the wettest. Now my cousin, Philip and I had a contest to see who could stay the driest.

Every night Brother Wantulok preached a really good message. I was so happy that they could make it. We had such a fun time with them.

Well it’s taken me forever to write something that would take someone else only 20 minutes to write. So I’m gonna get off here.

Hello,

The past couple weeks have been going pretty smooth.

Let’s see. After Grace’s birthday was Easter. We had fun. We had our next door neighbor, Jordan, my Aunt Coke and Uncle Richard, and my Uncle Randy’s daughter Brandy. Jordan was so excited about going to church. He is really interested in getting saved. It’s really cool.

Last night we had our youth service. It was a good one. I gave my cousin Daniel a 3-piece suit because he has always wanted one, and I couldn’t wear it. So he decided to wear his new/old suit. He liked it. Everybody said he looked really good. So he decided to wear to school today. I don’t know if he really did or not but, knowing Daniel, he probably did.

I can’t believe that tomorrow we are going in to record on our CD. I’m so excited. This is a first time experience for me and I am really looking forward to it. We are also going in again to finish up recording on the 27th. I don’t know exactly when it will be ready, but when it is, I’ll let y’all know.

Next week we are going to youth convention. YES!!! We didn’t get to go last year, so we’re all really excited. For all of you who have gone to our youth convention, you also know that they make the best Tamales in the world!! That’s at least two great reasons to come to our youth convention. Great worship, and great food. Ha ha

Well I‘ll talk to y’all later. Everybody have a good night’s rest, drive safely, look both ways before crossing the road, and don’t run with scissors.

Grace's Birthday.

Hey everybody,

I meant to post yesterday, but I had to go to work, and my day was busy.

Anyways. Two days ago was Grace’s birthday. We had lots of fun. I can’t believe that my older sister is eighteen!!! It’s kind of weird. We went to the park and had a game of soft ball. Each one of us has a long, long way to go before the major leagues. But we did pretty well for not playing for however many years.

After that we went to Macayo’s Mexican restaurant. All of the employees sing happy birthday to you, and give this funky pie looking thing. Anyways, they sang happy birthday to 4 other people when we were there. Busy night.

After all that we went to our house had some cake and we all hung out. The cake was kind of cool. Grace must have been stressed because she wanted chocolate, chocolate, chocolate cake. That’s what it was. It was too rich for my taste, but it was okay. I would rather have dark, dark, dark chocolate cake.

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to post something, so I thought I would show you one of my favorite shirts. There's kind of a funny story behind this shirt.

Philip bought me this shirt for Christmas. We each had an assigned person to buy a special gift. So he bought me this shirt. But he didn't look at the size so he bought me an XL in men's. So after everything started to settle down, mom and I would go back where he bought it about every two weeks. We didn't find anything, and then it was the end of February. I thought it would never come back. So I traded it in. Well mom found one not to long ago. So finally I have that shirt. And I love it. I am such a dork. Oh well.

Luke Days.

Hey everybody,

Today we had an awesome day. We went out to Luke Air Force Base for “Luke Days”. It’s an air show and they had bunches of air planes parked all over the place. They also had bunches of Dodge Vipers there too. They had two races with a Dodge Viper and an F-16 Viper jet on the runway. The first race, the Viper jet wasn’t allowed to use its afterburner and the car won by 160 yards. The second race, the jet used its afterburner and won by 200 yards.

They had the Thunder Birds there today, and they had a pretty good show. I don’t have any pictures of the Thunder Birds that I can put on the computer, but I will show you the pictures I do have.

Here are all of us in front of a Navy trainer. I think that one is my favorite out of all the planes.

They had bunches of parachutist's there today. They had the Red Bull air force team there. They had the best parachutist's. I think they had the best pilot too.

Now I don’t know if this is the F-16, or the F-18. They were both cool planes. I personally liked the F-18 better. That plane was fun to watch. They had the F-18 fly at speeds lower than 100 MPH. That’s got to be hard to do.

Here is a picture of the most awesome planes ever. The Stealth. I have never seen one of those in person until today. It was a fun day.

I know that this isn’t a picture from Luke Days, but mom thought that this was the greatest things. He was concentrating so hard on that thing.

Singing, rain, and fooling my fellow bloggers!!

Well last night we went to sing at a Methodist church. We were all pretty excited.

Early that morning it started to rain. It rained really hard for a few minuets then it stopped. We were all pretty excited about the rain, cause we live in Arizona and all.

So as the day went on I started to iron all mine, Philip's, and Tommy's clothes that we were going to wear that night. So we get ready to go, make sure we look purty;). We were all ready to go so we were going to load up the instruments when is starts pouring.

So we had to load the PA, the Instruments, and all the other misc. that we use...in the rain!! Thankfully we were singing inside. That really didn't matter though. It stopped raining after we got in there, started setting up, and started to sing. Didn't matter! It started to rain just as hard when we stopped singing. Then we had to unload all that stuff at home IN THE RAIN. Oh well.

Well I haven't eaten' anything today and I'm hungry. I'll see ya all later.

Hey everybody,

I haven’t been able to post in a while because the Brooks were here for Grace’s graduation.

We had fun with them. They came to our district convention, and stayed for a week. We had the whole week before Grace’s graduation to do what ever we wanted. The first part of the week they wanted to go to the park right beside our house. We went and made sandwiches, and ate at the park. After we were done eating we were all pretty bored. We only brought a volley ball, and a kick ball. Well the Brooks are a soccer family, so we got the volley ball and played soccer with it. And this is the first time in my whole life that I had actually played a soccer game. I have a new out look on that game now. After that we played volley ball. I was glad that Sara was on our team because I definitely was not the MVP. Volley ball is not my game. I’ll stick to football. We had a lot of fun.

The rest of the week we tried to get a football game going. It never happened. All the other days we were busy. “I guess we’ll do it next time guys”.

Then came the day of the graduation party. It was kind of a bitter sweet day because the Brooks were leaving the next day, but it was the graduation party. We had it at the China Buffet. I didn’t think I would be eating anything when I first found out we were eating there, but I was so hungry by the time we got there that I didn’t care. I went down the line and got what I wanted. When I got back to the table, I saw that Sara Clifton got a baby octopus. Come to find out that she got it just to get it. So I ate it. It actually wasn’t that bad. My cousin Daniel ate one, and so did Philip. Daniel actually ate two. The first one he ate piece by piece, and the second one he just dropped in his mouth. He recommended not doing that. But that was our week (If I left anything out grace, just let me know).

Hey everybody,

I haven’t posted in a while because of company, Christmas, New Year. I think it’s time for an update. So now all of you can say “Finally”!!

Christmas was really good. We enjoyed having Devin, Lyndi, Shayli, and Kami over. Christmas eve, we did our Shuler tradition. All the Shuler’s gathered together and exchange gifts. We did dirty santa and secret santa. They were fun.
Christmas day we enjoyed watching all the littler kid’s expression when they opened their gifts. It was a hoot.

New years were fun too. Papa and Grandma come over after Church, and we played games. Shane Stevenson came over too. We all played Disney’s “Scene it”. It was the “Oldies” against the “Youngsters”. We had a fun time. Papa, Grandma, or Shane didn’t stay till midnight, but we still had loads of fun.

New Year’s Day Paul Alexander came. We had a lot of fun with him. We played flag football when he was here. That was cool. Grace, Paul, Megan, and I were on one team, and Dad, Mom, Philip, and Sara were on the other. Tommy was the all time snapper. We had lots of fun during the week. He left on the eighth. I was kind of sad to see him go.

Well with me…my life is good. I’m hunky dory. Daniel and Anita are here right now. They came last night, and they’ll go back home after Church. It’s been fun.

Hey everybody,

The past week has been normal. I finally ordered some Dawg picks. Man I really like those.

My aunt Vicki is here, and she is coming over today to see Duke. He is cute. Lyndi and Devin are coming over for Christmas, and I am so excited.

I am going to try and post every Friday. I hope I can keep it up.

We have had Duke two weeks today. He really hasn’t barked until this last Wednesday. The kids are saying that “He finally found his voice”.

Hey everybody,

It’s been a little while since I’ve posted. Let’s see.

Remember that group that I talked about “Dry Creek”? I quit the band on Wednesday. After that we went to Bible study, and afterwards we have snacks. My aunt Marcy brought these little frosted flakes kind of meshed together in peanut butter. Oh My Word!! They were so good. I told them that I wanted that for Christmas.

To night I am going to go over to a guy’s house and see a Weber Mandolin. I am so excited. This will be my first time holding a Weber.

Well this isn’t my longest post but, I hope it’ll hold you off ‘till the next one.
